Whether providing tuition and scholarship assistance to our talent, or partnering with a charitable organization, Pro Staff strives to meet the needs of our local community through financial and volunteer support.
Pro Staff Scholarship Program :
Pro Staff recognizes the importance of education in achieving one's career goals. Each year, Pro Staff awards up to $60,000 nationwide (in the amount of $1,500 each) in scholarships to its talent.
The scholarships assist talent in pursuing their post-high school degree goals, supplying funds to assist with tuition, books, or academic fees. The Pro Staff Scholarship Program is helping improve the quality of our nation’s workforce by enhancing the skills and qualifications its workers. Pro Staff is talent that works.
Ronald McDonald House Charities:
Pro Staff’s annual Spring for a Cure campaign collects “wish list” items for Ronald McDonald House locations in each of our markets. Individual markets also work together to provide meals, game nights, and other activities for the Ronald McDonald House Charities throughout the year.
The Ronald McDonald House serves as a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children, providing an atmosphere where families can receive strength and stability from others in similar situations.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF):
For more than 10 years, Pro Staff associates in Minnesota have joined together to support the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes. As part of the JDRF Youth Ambassador Program, Pro Staff partners with a diabetic child and her family and draw on their inspiration to galvanize their outreach and fundraising efforts. The Pro Staff team raises thousands of dollars for diabetes research each year through auctions, fun activities and collecting individual donations.
JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
Make a Wish Foundation:
The mission of the Make a Wish Foundation is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities. Pro Staff supports this mission each year by donating the funds necessary to grant the wish of one of these special children.
Sharing and Caring Hands:
Sharing and Caring Hands was established to be a compassionate response to the needs of the poor, and to help meet those needs. This includes but is not limited to providing meals, clothing, showers, shelter, transportation help, rent deposits, rent help, medical assistance, dental care, furniture, school expenses, funeral assistance, and other miscellaneous needs. Pro Staff makes annual donations to help provide for these basic necessities.
On a Local Level:
Pro Staff branches across the nation also participate in great local community initiatives throughout the year. In Minnesota, Pro Staff’s Edina and Bloomington teams bag food for Feed My Starving Children, and the St. Cloud group spends time bathing pets at the local Humane Society. The Houston teams often sponsor a booth at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ which provides scholarships for more than 1,500 young Texans each year. They also donate funds to the Texas Children's BBQ "Families Helping Families." Additionally, branch offices often sponsor holes or form teams for local charity golf tournaments, such as Digital People Minnesota’s recent sponsorship of a local MDMA tournament.
