When you understand a company's history, you often gain insight into its evolution and current strategies. It's important that you understand Pro Staff's roots and its vision, so let's start here.
Pro Staff's History:
In 1982 Jeff Dobbs founded Dobbs Temporary Services, Inc. in Minneapolis. Jeff's philosophy was to build a great company whose reputation is providing premier service in our industry to both customers and talent, while effectively supporting the needs of internal associates. This commitment to excellence enabled Dobbs Temporary Services to grow quickly.
In 1985, as an expansion of the operations in Minneapolis, Jeff Dobbs, Doug Dobbs, Clay Morel and Mike Morris renamed the business Pro Staff Personnel Services and opened offices in Dallas, and Houston. The objective in joining forces was to create and build a staffing company that was very different from traditional temporary help services. The name Pro Staff, short for Professional Staffing, was chosen because it represented what we wanted our service to be...a service committed to treating employees with all kinds of work experience and interests as professionals.
Our Evolution: Since 1985, we have expanded both geographically and into different business segments. The Pro Staff brand serves office & administrative, light industrial, technical and manufacturing and engineering. Our Digital people brand focuses on delivering creative services talent to ad agencies and in-house marketing departments. The information technology segment is broadly covered by our AdvectA brand, while Pro Staff Finance & Accounting concentrates on companies with need of finance and accounting professionals.
